Drilling Rig Projects
Pride's Technical Department provides engineering design, procurement and construction (EPC) project management services in the construction of Pride-owned drilling rigs.  In recent years, Pride has completed for its own account two ultra-deepwater dynamically positioned drillships and five deepwater semi-submersibles (1 moored and 4 dynamically positioned, including 2 jointly owned rigs).

Engineering Support
Pride's Technical Department provides technical support to Operations and Marketing Departments in all varieties of rig troubleshooting, modifications and upgrades.  The Engineering and Technical Department is staffed with professional staff members specializing in all disciplines - Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architectural, Preventive Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance.  Pride has developed and performed world-class, comprehensive construction management at both domestic and foreign rig building yards.  Our total project management approach provides a seamless integration with engineering and capital equipment procurement.  Our quality assurance performance improves construction productivity and project savings.  The in-house expertise supports daily operations, new project feasibility studies required by customers, review of innovative rig concepts, special project cost estimates, drilling location reviews and capital equipment refurbishment.
